Police in Belmopan is looking for one man with respect to a drive-by shooting last night. Fem Cruz reports.

“A twenty-year-old tour guide operator of Armenia Village on the Hummingbird highway just barely escaped death after he was shot several times. According to the victim, 20-year-old Jose Amilcar, he was inside his black 4X4 Toyota pickup truck parked at the Governor General’s Field near the Ring Road in Belmopan when sometime around 8 p.m. he received a call from a female friend he was waiting for. The victim explained to Love News what happened after that.”

“I left Armenia around 7:30 p.m. I was waiting to meet a person at the Governor General’s Field. Around 8:10 pm or 8:15 p.m. this happened.”

“I saw a gray vehicle circled around but I didn’t pay it any mind because I was talking on the phone. At around 8:30 pm when I was talking to my friend I saw the vehicle come across again but it pulled up on me and I heard the shooting. From then I reached for my firearm but when I did I saw my hand bleeding. So turned on my vehicle and came to the hospital.”

“I got shot in my hand and in my neck.”

“Why did you decide to go to that area?”

“I was waiting for a person I was going to meet in that area, she told me five minutes and then this happened.”
