Traffic Accident leaves Two Persons Dead

Tour operator Mark Leslie and his wife Myrna Vasquez were killed when their vehicle was involved in a road traffic incident. ACP Jospeh Myvett, Head of National Crimes Investigation Branch shared the details.

“The first being sometime around 6:15 p.m. the deceased Mark Leslie with his common-law wife Myrna Vasquez was travelling and their 17-year-old daughter was travelling southbound on the Southern Highway between miles 11 and 12 when upon reaching that area an SUV Chevy Envoy travelling on the opposite direction was attempting to overtake a tractor with a trailer. As a consequence, the SUV collided into the car causing both persons to die on impact. The SUV then burst into flames, at the time the SUV had four occupants who all received varying degrees of injuries. They are all hospitalized at the KHMH. This investigation is ongoing.”

The driver of the tractor has been served with a notice of intended prosecution.
