Two Weapons Missing after UB was Burglarized

Two weapons are missing as a result of a burglary in Punta Gorda. Correspondent Paul Mahung reports.

“The burglar reportedly was at the main building which accommodates UB Toledo’s administrative office as explained by Officer in Command of the Toledo Police Formation Assistant Superintendent of Police Clement Cacho.”

“On Monday 18th December shortly after 10 a.m. Mr. Roy Polonio the administrator of the University of Belize Toledo Campus reported to police that between 7 p.m. on Thursday 14th December and 10 a.m. on Monday 18th December his office located on the UB campus was broken into. Stolen from within was a metal safe which contained two Glock 9mm pistols and a quantity of ammunition. The scene was processed by the police and presently two persons are detained for questioning.”

“The UB Toledo Admin Office is located on the upper floor of the campus’ two-story building located at Jose Maria Nunez Street.”
