An American national who investigators say has an active social life out west was the victim of a home invasion.  64-year-old, Juan William Scott Field lives in the Santa Cruz area in Santa Elena Town, Cayo District.  He was found in his home unconscious by one of his workers.  The worker had been calling and searching for him and as a last resort he decided to use his copy of the house key to enter the house.  Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvett says they are looking at the victim’s social circles for answers and leads.

ACP Joseph Myvette: “As a result of him not answering the worker then used his key to enter the building, that is when Mr. Field was found inside his home on the floor in a semi-unconscious state with facial injuries. As a result Police arrived on the scene where he was then transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital and he is now at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a critical condition.  So far we do not have no leads, the Police observed that the home was indeed ransacked but there was no forced entry. The officers have also been told that Mr. Field has frequent visitors to his home so some of those persons who are known to be visitors are being spoken to at this time by the Police.”

Scott Field remains in a critical condition up to news time.
