Thirty-one year old Noel Leal Jr. was charged with drug trafficking when he appeared today before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith. Leal pled not guilty to the charge. He was released on a bail of one thousand dollars, of which five hundred dollars was cash. The incident occurred yesterday. The police reported that they were on mobile patrol on Fabers Road when they intercepted a Toyota Camry Car. According to the police, when they searched the glove compartment they found a bag which contained three hundred grams of cannabis. Leal was the driver and only occupant of the car. He was arrested and charged.
