Sixty-five year old Christopher Lamb, one of two persons charged with drug trafficking for two hundred and sixty five grams of cannabis, pled guilty to the charge when he appeared today before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith. Lamb was fined ten thousand dollars. He was ordered to pay two thousand dollars forthwith, in default six months imprisonment. He was unable to pay, so he was taken to prison. He has until March 20, 2017, to pay the balance. If he does not pay he will serve a total of three years. The charge was withdrawn from a second defendant. About 7:45 this morning the police conducted a search at Lamb’s residence, located in the Gungulung area, which resulted in the discovery of six black plastic bags containing cannabis amounting to two hundred and sixty five grams.
