Sixteen laptops from Ladyville Technical High School were stolen sometime between October 6 and 7; one week after Digi and the Ministry of Education had given students laptops through their DIGI learn program. Yesterday, a crime stoppers alert was issued asking the public for assistance in locating the laptops. A week ago DIGI gave laptops to first and second form students to use in classes for studying, project making and other school related work. The initiative was a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Digi and a total of eight schools participated, Ladyville Technical High School being one of them. We contacted the Principal of the Ladyville Technical High School but they did not want to comment. We are currently awaiting a statement pending from Digi on the matter.
