Gun violence continued in the old capital last night as a 16-year-old was targeted. The minor, Emory Reyes, was walking near a bridge on South Creek Road when he was shot once to the shoulder. Deputy Head of NCIB, Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero, told us the details of that incident.

Sr.Supt.Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, NCIB: “On Sunday the 6th day of October 2019 at about 7pm there was a shooting incident on South Creek. A minor Emery Reyes, 16 years received a gunshot injury to the right arm, he reported he was in that particular area when he was approached by a male person who fired a single shot and he received that single gunshot injury.”

We attempted to speak with Reyes’ family, but they declined an interview. They did say, however, that Reyes has been discharged and was able to attend school today.
