18-year-old survives being shot

An 18-year-old resident of Police Street was targeted by a gunman last night. Raheem Chambers was reportedly standing on M&M Street, not too far from his home, when he was approached by a short, slim, dark skinned man who pulled out a gun and opened fire in his direction. Chambers sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen and was rushed to the KHMH. When we visited Chambers’ house, his family declined to comment. On Wednesday morning, two brothers, 23-year-old, Rick and 22-year-old, Randy Chambers, from Holy Emmanuel Street were standing at the entrance of their gate when a man whom they know approached them and opened fire in their direction. The two brothers were able to escape unharmed. It is unclear the relation, if any, between these two incidents. Rick and Randy, however, are no strangers to the law. Randy, along with the man whom had reportedly shot at him, had been charged jointly for the burglary at Victor L. Bryant which occurred earlier this year. In that incident, over twenty firearms were stolen in the burglary. In 2017 as well, Rick and Randy were also charged with handling a stolen motorcycle which was reportedly taken from the house of a Victor L. Bryant employee. Love News will keep following the Raheem Chambers incident. //////
