The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) held a closing ceremony on the project, Addressing Human Rights for a More Equitable Development (AHRMED). A proposal was sent to the European Union (EU) with the basis of advocating for the human rights of women and children along with the improvement of gender equality. The funding was granted by the EU and enabled the YWCA to host various training, presentations, and activities. The YWCA surpassed their intended target and sanitized 552 women and youths on the identification and forms of gender-based violence. Anita Zetina, the Project coordinator, shared with Love News the project outline.
The overall objective of the 24-week project was to empower women and youths to become effective leaders.
