26-year-old is accused of killing Marcos Ack

Police have arrested and charged the man accused of having stabbed Marcos Ack on Monday. He is  26-year-old Hubert Taylor who was charged with Ack’s murder today. According to police, 41-year-old Ack, a farmer from Red Bank Village in the Stann Creek District was headed to Independence in his pickup sometime before nine o’clock on Monday morning. Along the way he picked up a hitchhiker. That individual, believed to be Taylor, demanded money and then stabbed Ack once in the right side of his chest. Ack ran off the road and his assailant attempted to escape into nearby bushes. However, he was soon caught by police who were in the immediate area. Ack was taken to a hospital and later died from his injury. Police say they found a blood stained knife inside the vehicle Ack was driving and suspect it to be the murder weapon.
