One of the most common complaints we hear made against police officers is that they are disrespectful, too rough and rude. Well officers at Eastern Division Rural are now being told to do the opposite. Assistant Commissioner of Police Edward Broaster, along with his senior officers, has devised a strategy to help officers be more courteous and respectful to members of the public. They call it the Professional Development Fortune 500 initiative. Starting now, officers attached to Eastern Division Rural will be monitored closely by the senior officers and members of the public to ensure that they are always professional and courteous. ACP Broaster told us more.
At the end of the year, twenty five officers who performed the best will be awarded five hundred dollars.
