Absenteeism Debate Continues: Sista B Barrow’s Attendance at House Meetings Under Scrutiny

Another House Meeting is set for Friday in Belmopan.  It has become an expectation and perhaps even an acceptance that the member for Queen’s Square, Denise Sista B Barrow will be absent.  A few house meetings ago, it was thrown out that the standing orders of the house be amended to mandate Sista B to attend meetings.  It seemed like a good idea then, but it is anybody’s guess on whether it will be done.  Minister Francis Fonseca spoke on the matter earlier today.

Sista B is yet to attend a meeting of the House of Representatives since succeeding her brother, Dean Barrow in November 2020.
