Agriculture and Tourism Ministries Collaborate to Boost Agri-Tourism Sector

The Ministries of Agriculture and Tourism are collaborating to support small farmers by establishing an agri-tourism sector. The venture seeks to link agricultural production with tourism to attract visitors to farms, ranches, or agricultural processing plants. Yesterday, the Valley of Peace community discussed the possibility of educating visitors on their farming practices while generating income through cash crops. Minister of Agriculture Jose Mai says it is an untapped market that could be successful for local farmers.

Mai noted that other farming communities have expressed interest in monetizing their everyday operations.
