Agriculture Ministry Seeks Improved Method for Belizean Cattle to be Exported to Mexico

A team from the Ministry of Agriculture led by Minister Jose Mai is in neighboring Mexico to meet with livestock stakeholders. Today, the group met with representatives from SENASICA, which is Mexico’s equivalent of the Belize Agricultural Health Authority. The discussion centered on improving the approval method for Belizean cattle to be exported to Mexico. Belize’s Ambassador to Mexico, Oscar Arnold, shared additional details. 

Belize exports a significant number of cattle to Mexico each year.
