Five farming cooperatives from across the country are receiving office equipment through the Resilient Rural Belize (RRB) project. The distribution of the office supplies, which is part of the project’s Matching Grant Fund, began today in Valley of Peace Village. The program was developed to assist local producers with the necessary equipment to achieve maximum productivity. Dr. Geraldo Flowers, Programme Manager of the RRB project, shared additional details with Cayo Correspondent Fem Cruz.
Chairman of the Valley of Peace Farmers Association Holdings Limited Ever Blandon explained how the equipment will be put to use.
Other organizations that will be receiving the equipment which comes at a total cost of forty thousand dollars, include the Co-operative De Los Buenos Amigos Co-operative Society Limited, Maya Green Growers Cooperative Society Limited, New Rivers Farmer Cooperative Society Limited, and Los Pequenos Agricultores y Ganaderos de Nago Bank Co-operative Society Limited.
