Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Hosts Ninth Annual Jalsa Salana: Celebration of Faith and Unity

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at community in Belize is inviting people nationwide to its ninth annual Jalsa Salana. The religious celebration, which began in 1891, will be celebrated for the third time at the community’s mosque, the Masjid Noor.  The gathering is open to all faiths, and the objective is to aid attendees in establishing or strengthening relationships with God. The community’s President, Arslan Warraich, told us more about its significance today at a press conference.

Several chapters of the community have traveled from across the globe to attend the event. Chief Missionary of Canada’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada Rasheed Anwar spoke about what can be expected during the three-day event.

The Ahmadiyya Women’s Chapter is celebrating its hundredth anniversary this year and will hold several activities this weekend. Maham Warraich, President of the Belize Women’s Chapter, shared more details.

The convention begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. and ends on Sunday.
