The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at community in Belize are making their preparations for this year’s 6th Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Convention. The Convention will be held at the ITVET compound on Saturday, February 1 under the theme “A God Almighty”. Today the Ahmadiyya Community held a conference where Vice President of the USA Ahmadiyya Community Murabbi Afzaal Ahmad, explain the goal that they hope to achieve by hosting the convention.
Murabbi Afzaal Ahmad, VP US Ahmadiyya Community: “We are gathering in this part of the world, as we have been doing throughout the world. These gatherings are taking place every year in many countries, many continents and it’s been going on for over a century beginning in a small village in India named Kadian but now reaching the four corners of the earth with the sole purpose to unite mankind. Unite us under a belief that there is a God who exists who gave us life and to whom we are all accountable in our deeds and actions so to try and improve that relationship most importantly with the creator of all humankind. Secondly as we can see especially nowadays there’s a lot of polarization, a lot of division, a lot of discord, a lot of internal and external friction between nations within nations leading to civil unrest, upheavals, revolts and rebellions and wars nationally against neighbor to neighbor. So this is a community that’s focusing on the humanity and the brotherhood.”
Speeches and presentations will be conducted at the convention about spirituality and religion.
