Albert Vaughan Assumes Role of City Administrator at Belize City Council

Former City Councilor, Albert Vaughan, assumed the post of City Administrator today at the Belize City Council.  The 64-year-old retired soldier and high school teacher made his official rounds at the offices of the council earlier today.  It has been 33 days since the council has been operating with Sharlene Rudon as the interim administrator.  Love News spoke with Vaughan who says his experience and familiarity with the council and its policies will allow a smooth transition.

Vaughan replaces the late Stephanie Lindo-Garbutt who passed away on March 9.  Vaughan was one of three persons who applied and were interviewed for the post.  The other two are Linsford Castillo and Stacy Swift.  A release from the council expresses confidence that under Vaughan’s stewardship, the council will continue to make meaningful progress in fulfilling its obligations to the residents of Belize City.
