In April 2015, the German non-governmental organization, ALDEBARAN, launched its third campaign under the Young, Clean and Green programme which started in 2010. Today saw the closing ceremony of this phase with presentations done by several secondary schools. Stefanie Lupp is Aldebaran’s Managing Director.
During this morning’s ceremony, several of the students spoke of the level of work that went into this campaign and the lessons learnt.
Present at this morning’s ceremony was Mayor of Orange Walk Town, Kevin Bernard. He spoke to Love News and his role at today’s ceremony and his support for the green and clean initiative.
The participating schools are Orange Walk Technical High School, New Hope High School, Corozal Community College, Sacred Heart College and Excelsior High School.
