Over six hundred students attending All Saints Anglican Primary School now have a safer place to play with the opening of the school’s new sports field. While the school yard does have playground facilities, the yard flooded with the slightest rain and became a slipping hazard for students due to the mud. The upgrade, which cost around thirty thousand dollars, was financed through a partnership with the private sector partner, Currency Group, and its CEO, Anwar Barrow. The school’s principal, Dr. Colin Estrada, said that the project took around five months to complete due to some delays.
Anwar Barrow told our newsroom that as a graduate of All Saints, he has worked with the school on several projects over the years and hopes that more can be done to improve the learning experience for students.
The inauguration ceremony was held this morning.
