The Deputy Mayor of Belize City Allan Pollard has been selected to serve as an official steering committee member of the Commonwealth Youth for Sustainable Urbanization Network. The network aims to empower and support youth through advocacy for sustainable urbanization in the Commonwealth. The committee members are tasked to formulate ways in which cities and human settlements can better reflect the needs of youth. Pollard, whose portfolio is Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Labor Relations, spoke to Love News about the accomplishment.
Pollard is currently serving his second term as a councilor of the Belize City council and is the standard-bearer for the People’s United Party in the Queen Square division.
