Amado Olivero, a former accountant for Riverside Tavern was in court today facing ten counts of theft.  Olivera was first arraigned back on October 21, 2019 before Chief Magistrate, Sharon Fraser where he pleaded not guilty to all ten counts. The court matter did not need to proceed today as a representative from the Riverside Tavern indicated that the stolen monies had been repaid in full.  Senior Magistrate, Tricia Pitts-Anderson, dismissed the matter.  The backdrop to this case is that on Friday, October 18, 2019, the Finance Director at Bowen and Bowen found discrepancies in the deposits between the months of June to August 2019. It was discovered that there were ten different deposits to Heritage Bank Ltd on behalf of the Riverside Tavern Accounts Section. Upon making an audit of the deposits between the months of June to August 2019, it was discovered that a total amount of $48,125.53 was missing from their account.
