In 2015, Patrick Andrews was appointed as Belize’s Ambassador to the United States of America succeeding Ambassador Nestor Mendez who is now the Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States. Ambassador Andrews is also Belize’s Permanent Representative to the OAS but, is his diplomatic career coming to an end? Andrews told the media that he is in negotiation with the Government over his tenure in Washington DC.
At the start of the year, Andrews was elected as the Chair of the Permanent Council of the OAS. His chairmanship comes to an end on March 31.
