Annual Jalsa Salana Celebration at Majid Noor Mosque Focuses on World Peace

Today, dignitaries, politicians, and ordinary citizens gathered at the Majid Noor Mosque for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at’s ninth annual Jalsa Salana. The three-day religious celebration, which began in 1891, is being celebrated under the theme, “World Peace” and brings together persons from various faiths. The conference seeks to assist attendees in establishing or strengthening relationships with God. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Education, Culture, Science, and Technology Francis Fonseca was invited to represent the government and spoke about the tremendous work done by the community.

The Love Foundation is one of the many organizations that have partnered with the community to carry out various programs to assist at-risk youth. The organization’s Executive Director, Deborah Erskine, spoke about the significance of partnerships.

The event continues tomorrow and Sunday.
