Anthony Carballo Jr. Found Guilty of Double Murder on San Pedro, Faces Life in Prison

Anthony Carballo Jr. has been found guilty of the double murder of Deon Faber & Allen Martinez on San Pedro. Carballo Jr. is facing two possible life sentences with the eligibility of parole or a fixed term sentence.

On Tuesday, Carballo Jr. was one of 4 prisoners brought to Belize City for sentencing; however, it seems they may have come for a Joy ride because Carballo Jr.’s case was initially set for Friday, November 7, and not on Tuesday.

On August 22, 2025, Justice Candace Nanton found Carballo guilty of two counts of murder for the gruesome execution – style death of Deon Faber and Allen Martinez, which occurred on March 21, 2019, on San Pedro at around 1:45 p.m., in broad daylight.

During the trial, a recorded statement from Deon Faber’s wife was used as a key piece of evidence. The statement was taken before she died in 2019 from COVID. In her statement, she recollected the horrific incident, explaining that her husband was outside while the gunmen sneaked into the house. She continued by saying that one of them pulled out a firearm and aimed it at her. During this time, the other deceased, Allen Martinez, jumped in front of her moments before the gun went off. Faber’s wife also gave a full description of the now convicted murderer.
