62-year-old Anthony Lazarus is lucky to be alive today. That’s because he was almost run over by a bus just before midday today. Lazarus was riding his bicycle on East Collet Canal en route to Vernon Street and upon making his way to cross the bridge, he suddenly found himself under a bus. Witnesses shouted at the bus driver to stop and in doing so, Lazarus was saved. One of the eyewitnesses told us what she saw.
The bus driver and conductor argued with Lazarus, blaming him for the incident. Two police officers arrived on the scene. Lazarus told the officer that he wants compensation for his damaged bicycle. An injured Lazars along with the officers and bus driver walked to a police booth on Cemetery Road.
