Arrest Made in La Democracia Armed Robbery Case, Two Suspects Still at Large

Twenty-one-year-old, Shemar Brakeman has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery in La Democracia Village. Surveillance footage that captured the incident showed three men, one apparently wielding a high-powered rifle, went to K and S Grocery shop on Sunday, October 22. They held up the owner, who lives in the rear of the building, along with several members of her family, and stole over twenty-five hundred dollars in cash and a cellphone. Police later recovered the cell phone from a nearby yard and detained Brakeman soon after. Two other suspects are still at large.
