Eleaine Berry, San Ignacio Correspondent: “Just before 9 this morning, 621 Supermarket located on Flamboyant Street in the Santiago Juan Layout here in San Ignacio was targeted by a lone gunman on a motorcycle. According to reports, the lone gunman entered the store and was accosted by the owner of the store, 53-year-old Deig Yu. The gunman then tried to flee the store but before leaving he fired a single shot hitting Yu on his left shoulder. He then made good his escape. Yu was transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital where he was treated and released. Police investigation continues into this latest incident. Reporting for Love News, Elaine Berry, San Ignacio.”

The robbers fled the area on a Meilun motorcycle towards the Bullet Tree area. One was said to be wearing a blue and green shirt.  This is not the first time that the 61 Superstore has been targeted by robbers. Back in September 2021, three armed men had robbed the establishment. No one was injured back then.
