Attorney Oscar Selgado Awaits Sentencing Amid Health Concerns

Attorney Oscar Selgado continues to await sentencing after being found guilty of abetment to commit murder.  He appeared in court yesterday where character witnesses spoke on his behalf.  One of the arguments that his attorney, Arthur Saldivar, is pushing in the court is Selgado’s health condition which he says will deteriorate if he is given prison time for his crime.  According to Saldivar, his client has lost twenty pounds since being incarcerated and that with his diabetes, and the lack of proper meals his health is in danger.

For now, Saldivar is hoping that he can secure Selgado’s freedom using the Alternative Sentencing legislation.
