And, to close off our first segment we focus on the education sector where Attorney Richard Bradley is strongly recommending that the curriculum provides for lessons on the constitution. Bradley made his comments earlier this week on The Morning Show.
Richard “Dickie” Bradley, Attorney: “Forty years. Forty years, we should be ashamed of ourselves that we do not know our constitutional rights. It is bad enough that you don’t know how we are governed, what is the role of this, where the Legislature gets its power from, where ministers – but our basic fundamental constitutional rights we do not know. Forty years we are here and an independent nation and we do not know. And so I will not say that, and I was going to say and the same thing applies to Channel so and so and same thing, what I will do instead is say having just celebrated forty years of our independence we must – same way you had that vision just now we must insist that the new government put the teaching of the fundamental and constitutional rights of every citizen in the curriculum for college, for high school, for sixth form, for university. How can you be educated and don’t even know what is your constitutional and fundamental rights ? “
