Love News spoke with the Party Chairman, Alberto August who spoke of the party’s appointment of a new legal adviser, replacing the late Senior Counsel, Michael Young.
“We had one of the first meeting of National Party Council for this new year and basically we just discussed several important party matters primarily among them you know we had the passing of our legal advisor Senior Counsel Michael Young so that was one of the positions that we had to fill. We had a meeting on Wednesday the Central Executive of the party met and a name was ratified at the NPC on Saturday and Niema Barrow will now be serving as a replacement for Senior Counsel Young. Michael Young dedicated many years of professional service to our party it was a tremendous loss to our party but we are moving on.”
The National Party Council is made up of 31 Standard Bearers, the Chairpersons of each constituency committee and all other elected UDP officials in the municipalities. The NPC will meet again in about three months
