Leutienant Corporal Charlton Roches
“We will be celebrating our 39th birthday and Belizeans when they come here will see a variety of stuff. We start off firstly with how the soldiers live on a daily basis and particularly looking at their equipment and types of duties that they do they will be able to observe that. Additionally it’s a family event which means that there will be a number of games and activities for adults and children all ages as well and food and drinks will be here on sale and presently I’m standing in the arena where we will be having for some time now we had never had it we will be reintroducing boxing. A boxing match that a lot of people are talking about was the match between the Coast Guard and the BDF. Now there will be blows in this ring here and I’m certain a lot of excitement will fall out of it. Adding to that as well we will be having some professional boxers from Mexico, Nicaragua, Honduras fighting against our Belizean boxers so there will be a lot of activities here that one could enjoy while here at the Belize Defense Force.”
