The accused, 23-year-old BDF soldier Stacy Letticia Antonio, and her boyfriend, 26-year-old William Alexander Flowers, an unemployed resident of Lords Bank, Ladyville, appeared unrepresented in court this afternoon. The pair was read four charges: attempted murder, dangerous harm, use of deadly means of harm, and theft. The charges stem from an incident on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in which 20-year-old Evan Pook Jr. was attacked and stabbed multiple times. The couple is also accused of stealing Pook’s Samsung A4 cellphone, valued at $500, during the altercation. Due to the seriousness of the attempted murder charge, no plea was taken, and bail was denied. The duo was remanded to the Belize Central Prison and will remain in custody until their next court appearance on January 7, 2025. Their legal team is expected to file a bail application in the High Court next week. According to police reports, the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on December 3rd, while Pook was walking along a feeder road in the Lords Bank area. He was ambushed and stabbed multiple times to the body, leaving him with serious injuries. His cell phone, which was in a black phone case, was also stolen during the attack. Following their investigation, police arrested Antonio and Flowers. However, no motive for the stabbing has been established at this time.
