BDF Soldier Killed in Toledo Traffic Incident


A Belize Defence Force soldier lost his life in a traffic incident in the Toledo District this evening. The incident occurred at around four o’clock near the Jacintoville Bridge in San Felipe Village.  Preliminary information indicates that two soldiers stationed at Fairweather Camp, identified as Private Cus and Private Mes, were travelling on a motorcycle when the incident occurred.  The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, but Private Cus reportedly died from his injuries. The condition of the second soldier has not yet been confirmed.  Police and BDF officials are expected to provide further details as the investigation continues.  Love News will have more on this fatal traffic incident in subsequent newscasts.
