Beaten within an inch of his life for no apparent reason

We can usually determine the cause of the country’s crime as jealousy acts of domestic violence and rivalry between gangs. But some incidents have no motive and are shocking as well as inexplicable. 58 year old Nicholas Flores of San Ignacio is the victim of a vicious beating on January 25th. His injuries are so severe, the police say he is still in a critical condition.

ACP Joseph Myvett: “San Ignacio Police responded to a male person at a bus shed in Santa Elena Town on George Price Blvd. where upon arrival a male hispanic person was seen in an unconscious state. His name was later learned to be Nicholas Flores 58 years of a San Ignacio Town address. Initial investigation and surveillance footage revealed that sometime around 11:40 PM on the 25th January Flores arrived at the bus shed where he was sitting and he was approached by a male person who began beating him and as a result he suffered facial injuries. He was then transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Police is seeking one person in relation to this investigation whilst our investigation continues. It probably seemed to be a random act of violence as the surveillance did not disclose any robbery.”

There was surveillance footage in the area that has provided limited help. However, the police say they are following other leads into this heinous crime.
