Beautician Charged with Handling Stolen Goods: Alleged Connection to Home Burglary

A beautician was charged with handling stolen goods, specifically, a flat screen television with remote. 35-year-old, Rynesha Rochelle Morter, appeared unrepresented before a magistrate in court today where she was read a single charge of handling stolen goods.  The 40-inch flat screen television valued at $800, and the Amazon Fire Stick, valued at $900. Initial investigation reveals that on January 8, Tenesia Payne visited a police station and reported that her home had been burglarized while she was vacationing in the United States. Police launched an investigation into the house burglary and a search was conducted at the home of Morter where the stolen items were found. Morter pleaded not guilty and was offered bail in the sum of $800 plus one surety of the same amount.
