Beekeeping Symposium Highlights Industry Progress in Corozal District

Today, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise held a symposium in the Corozal District to highlight the work being done in Belize with respect to beekeeping. The National bee Keeping Symposium was held at Centro Escolar Mexico, and featured presentations from experts on a number of pertinent topics affecting the industry. Minister of Agriculture, Jose Abelardo Mai, delivered the keynote address at the symposium.

Topics discussed today included the ecological importance of bees, honey standards and adapting to climate change.
