Belize and Taiwan Collaborate to Strengthen Sheep and Goat Industry

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE), and the Republic of China (Taiwan) is looking to strengthen the sheep and goat industry in Belize.  A Sheep Management and Lamb Culinary workshop was held today at Paraiso Village through the, “Breeding Sheep and Goat Production and Guidance System Enhancement Project”. The workshop had twenty-five various participants such as butchers, farmers, and restaurants to talk about all things sheep and goats. From livestock traceability, animal feed, nutrition, health, selection, and even preparation. The workshop is another commitment of the Sheep Project Phase II to help local farmers in Belize. The overall goal is to boost production and strengthen the sheep and goat industry which will advance the welfare of Belizeans.
