Belize Chamber of Commerce Skeptical of Government’s Proposed Ticketing Mechanism to Address Price Gouging

Price gouging – it is an event where store owners markup the prices of their goods without conscience or illegally.  It is not unheard of, and is being reported across the country.  The Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry represents the private sector, and while they do hope for the successful addressing of price gouging, they are somewhat skeptical over the new ticketing mechanism proposed by the government.

Also commenting and condemning the matter of price gouging was Senator Collet Montejo.  In tomorrow’s newscast we’ll bring you his personal findings on the issue.
