This week we have been reporting on the finalization of the municipal boundaries across the country. While all the towns saw some adjustments made, both the cities of Belize and Belmopan went untouched. According to the Director of Local Government, Clifford King, both cities are at a point where they will have to begin looking at consolidating spaces. Essentially, either making use of existing spaces or begin looking at more advanced architectural ideas.
It has been more than 3 decades since the urban boundaries were established. According to King, with a population growing from 160 thousand to more than 400 thousand over the past thirty three years, there is time to respond accordingly.
