Belize City Comes Alive with Music, Food, and Basketball !

The old capital is buzzing with an influx of visitors and a fully loaded weekend of entertainment.  The main highlight of the weekend is the Belize International Music and Food Festival which starts tomorrow at the Marion Jones Sports Complex.  Amid the preparation of the international artists like Morgan Heritage and others, is the U17 FIBA Basketball Tournament with players from around the region.  The long holiday weekend has seen hotels being booked out in the city as well as the Belize Police Department ramping up their security throughout the city.  Belize City Mayor Wagner says he is excited to see the activities in the city, and says that events like these do trickle down to vendors and other commercial sectors.
