Belize City Council Faces Backlash Over Street Signs Credit

New York businessman, Samuel Vaughn says the Belize City Council is taking the credit for street signs that were donated by the diaspora.  He noted that the donation was made possible by U.S residents Debby Smith and Eric Stamp who collected funds to make the street signs and then donate them to the Belize City Council. Samuels spoke to Love News about his discontent with people from the council who are taking credit for the signs.

Love News sought a response from the Belize City Council on Vaughan’s allegations.  According to City Manager, Stephanie-Lindo Garbutt, they have always made sure to give recognition to donors, but that this recent statement made by the businessman is misleading.
