Forty year old Sheffield Brown, was charged with burglary and damage to property when he appeared today before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser. Brown pled not guilty to the charges. He was offered a bail of five thousand dollars and his case was adjourned until August 30. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on June 27. Lynn Santos, a resident of Madam Liz Avenue, reported to the police that she was at home when Brown entered her house by breaking the screen door. She said Brown emptied her refrigerator and he stole her touch screen cellular phone which has a value of five hundred dollars. She said Brown also broke her water pipe.
