Within the last twenty-four hours there have been three shooting incidents. The most recent occurred today in broad daylight; this time in the old capital. 36-year-old, Lloyd Faber, was shot once in the back on Amara Avenue sometime around three this afternoon. Reports are that Faber, who goes by the alias ‘Deuce,’ was standing on the street when he was approached by a gunman. Faber turned around and attempted to run into a yard but he wasn’t able to escape the bullet. He was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he is currently in a critical condition. Faber is no stranger to the law; back in 2007 he was arrested and charged for the murder of 31-year-old, Jerrie Jones. Jones was shot at close range inside Mike’s Club in Belize City. Nearly a year later, Faber had appeared in Magistrate’s Court but Magistrate Dorothy Flowers withdrew the charges at the recommendation of the Director of Public Prosecutions due to lack of evidence. The only evidence against Faber was a single witness, who told police that he only had a quick glance at the shooter and was unable to identify him. Love News will keep following this latest shooting.
