Belize City Man Fined for Drug Possession of Crack Cocaine

A Belize City man was fined in court today for drug possession of crack cocaine. Twenty-one-year-old Brian Adams appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, charged with possession of controlled drugs to which he pleaded guilty. He was fined three hundred dollars plus five dollars cost of court. He has until September 29 to pay his fine or he will face three months in prison. During the proceedings, the Magistrate warned him that this was not his first conviction for drug possession and told him that if he is convicted of the same offense again, he will be sent to prison. Police found 0.4 grams of crack cocaine on him, during a search in the King’s Park area of Belize City on Sunday, August 6.
