Belize City Man Remanded for Breaching Curfew

A Belize City man who was out on bail was remanded to the Belize Central Prison for breaching his curfew. Ulide Allen, appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, charged with a single count of breaching a judicial order. Under the conditions of his bail he is to remain indoors between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. However, on June 6 he was found at Mile 4 on the George Price Highway at 9:15 p.m. He pleaded not guilty and claimed he was detained at a police checkpoint which delayed his return home. He was remanded until August 4.
