Belize City man robbed at gunpoint

A Belize City man is lucky to be alive after he was robbed at gunpoint and shot after this morning. According to police, around 2 o’clock, 20-year-old Alexander Gladden was at a friend’s home at the corner of Mahogany Street and Santa Barbara Street when two men, known to him, entered the apartment.  Gladden and the men, who he was able to identify, then got into a struggle. Gladden was able to escape but one of the men, armed with a gun, then fire one single shot in his direction. The thieves then made off with Gladden’s cell phone. Police investigations continue
