A Belize City man is trying to clear his name after he was accused of stalking a minor. According to Kevin Arnold, he was approached by two men in the Mesopotamia area on Friday evening, and was collared and accused of trailing an 8-year-old girl from the area and attempting to sexually assault the child. Arnold told Love News that he has been forced to come to Love News after the Police refused to help. He is now hoping to get some help.
Kevin Arnold, Concerned Resident: “I was walking in the Mesop area with my food that I got from the repass and my beverage. I was encountered with two young men to the corner of the lane of George Street and the young man approached me and grabbed me in the shirt like this and held me up and the next young man held my hand and said I was following his little eight year old girl from the whole of the day until the evening in the Chinese store. So I told the young man “Mr. You’re making a wrong assumption. You’re making a wrong allegation.” Also the young man encountered me, a young man said “Yes you are the young man that was following my daughter.” So I said “Big man I’m not a predator. I’m not a child molestor. I’m not an offender. So please put your story correct.” And the young lady on the bike pulled up and said “Yes daddy. Yes daddy. This is the young man that was following me and took me to the Chiney.” I said “You can’t be assuming or pointing at people wrongfully.” I would really appreciate that i the police could get into this situation here because I went to report the matter to the police and the police did not want to take in no kind of interview from me and the police did not want to interview the parent. I went to the police station about three times from the first time the night the incident occurred I went there. I went there again in the morning from five o’clock until about six thirty and they still refused me. I went on Sunday and I explained myself and they still refused me. So please anybody who is listening to this news around the world please or the concerned Belizean people please take it in a concerned matter and seek the matter for me so that they don’t paint my name or my image wrongfully.“
Love News have reached out to one of Arnold’s relative within the Belize Defence Force who says that his brother is not known for that kind of behaviour and does not believe the allegations.
