Belize City Man Stabs Another During Altercation at Social Gathering

A Belize City man is in police custody after he reportedly stabbed another man on Sunday afternoon.  Love News understands that a group of persons were socializing at a house in the CET Site area of Belize City when one Cautious Myers became involved in an altercation with 26-year-old, Maleek Pitts.  The fight reportedly moved into the kitchen area of the house where Myers was able to access a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds to Pitts.  Pitts survived the ordeal, and is listed in a stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.  The incident occurred just before three o’clock yesterday afternoon during a get-together of friends, including Myers’ girlfriend, 28-year-old, Heydi Jimenez, and Pitts’ girlfriend, 34-year-old, Blanca Sacalxot.  Initial reports say that Myers initiated the fight after feelings of jealousy over his girlfriend’s interactions with Pitts.  Police have since detained Pitts.
